Hey 👋
What’s up?
Welcome to Wisdom Letter #102.
This email will take less than 2 minutes of your time⌚
A few weeks ago I resigned from my full-time job -
Tomorrow, my notice period ends and I can speak a bit more freely about the decision.
So that’s what I did this week👇
On a new adventure✈
Ever since I decided to go solo I’ve been asked multiple times how I made that decision.
Was it impulsive, was it well thought out?
What metrics did I use to make the decision?
At The Wisdom Project, we care deeply about our decision-making process.
So I thought this was a good time to break down how I made that call.
It’s not a decision made in haste, I’ve been thinking about it for almost 3 years now, and actively working towards it for the last 6 months.
In this short blog post, I break this decision down into -
The Why
The How
My Liabilities
My Assumptions
My Privileges
Stuff I am giving up
Should you do it?
What metrics you can use to think about the decision?
Hope the post helps you asses your own professional life👇
Signing off, this is one of my favorite lines from the movie “The Shawshank Redemption”-
“Get busy living, or get busy dying”
I guess I see this move for myself as a way to getting busy living😀
Thank you for reading🙏
