The Israel-Palestine conflict took a bloody turn last week. (You might have seen it in the news)
I don’t know what I think, I don’t know who’e right or who’s wrong here.
I’m just a distant bystander.
But I’d rather be an informed bystander than an indifferent one. That’s why I’ve been reading up on the conflict all week.
I have no opinions, just sharing some useful links I found -
This video from John Green is a good place to start -
The most surprising moment in this video for me was realising the fact that this is NOT a religious war, it’s war over land.
All muslims aren’t Arabs
All Arabs aren’t Palestinians.
And not all Palestinians are Muslims
Whatever the mass media wants to portray, essentially this is a conflict about land, not about religion.
This thread is a great read as well -
This video from The Economist is a good 3 minute recap of the last 100 years -
Ray Dalio always offers a “big picture” perspective to global events.
His article on the crisis is worth a read as well.
This is the scary bit -
Read the full thing -
Another Step Toward International War - Ray Dalio
As I said last year (in the Ukraine’ crisis) -
This will be a bloody war, and even if one side beats the other, it will be a pyrrhic victory.
Nobody actually wins a war!
Let’s pray for peace 🙏
Thank you reading.
That’s it for this week’s special edition about the Israel-Palestine conflict.
