💸 My Best Month Ever | Wisdom Letter #153
Hey there 👋
Hope you’re doing good.
So last week was my 34th birthday.
Age is just a number, it doesn’t mean much. I made another round of the Sun, how does that matter?
Most things in nature don’t have any meaning, we humans, give meaning to them to make our existence less painful.
My age only holds the meaning I assign to it.
For me it means a direct encounter with my mortality.
That put me in a reflective mind-space and I wrote a short post on the best life lessons I’ve learned over the years.
This is advice I would give to my 10 year younger self 👇
💸 My Best Month Ever
So July ended up being my best month in terms of product revenue.
I have made more money selling services like product consulting and ghostwriting. But services have very little leverage.
Your still trading time for money.
I didn't want to keep selling services all my life.
So back in June I made up my mind that I am going to have more product revenue and less service revenue.
I dusted off my old product idea list in Notion, said no to a bunch of clients, and embarked on the crazy 25In25 challenge.
In this post I share the top 3 insights that have pushed me to take on this challenge, and the reasons why I’ve got the little success that I have -
Learning happens at the intersection of product and distribution.
Ideas in your head are worthless.
Momentum is underrated.

🔼 The Unfortunate Pyramid
Found this unfortunate graph on Twitter recently -
0.8% of the world’s adult population controls 45% of global wealth!
Crazy reality of wealth inequality.
Somehow human societies align themselves in pyramidal structures.
Either pyramids of capital or pyramids of power.
I’ve done a podcast series around this idea with my friend Dr. Pranav Gupta.
It’s called The Social Code Podcast.
Start from episode 1 -
🤖 The AI Revolution
Will AI take over the world?
Especially with the advent of GPT-3 and DALL-E it seems like AI has mastered the final frontier - Creativity.
It’s a complex topic that deserves a post of it’s own, but for now, I highly recommend reading Tim Urban’s 2015 articles on the topic of Artificial Super-intelligence.
Super insightful, and worth every minute you will spend on them.
