Hey folks👋

What’s up?

Welcome to Wisdom Letter #107.

This email will take less than 2 minutes.

Today we continue our series of posts around your information diet.

Last week we spoke about the kind of video content that can help you learn more, think better, and live better.

This week, we are talking about audio content, more specifically - Podcasts.

But first, why podcasts?

Podcasts are such a powerful medium of learning.

If done well, they can be even better than video, because while you’re listening to great audio content you visualize the concepts in your own head.

And that can massively improve the retention of ideas in our brain.

Plus, you can listen to them while doing chores or working out. So they are super convenient as well.

That’s why we love podcasts and have got a bunch of recommendations for you.

Now let’s go👇

On Entrepreneurship

- The Indie Hackers Podcast is amazing. It’s an interview-based show, the guests are self-funded entrepreneurs running profitable internet companies.

Must listen.

Some episodes are on YouTube as well, this one’s my favorite -

You can find them on your favorite podcast platform by searching. Here’s the link for Google Podcasts - IH on Google Podcast

We also write notes on our favorite episodes from this show, if you’re more of a reading person, do check them out on The Wisdom Project website👇

The Wisdom Project | Podcast Notes

- My First Million Podcast is interesting. It’s two dudes talking about new business ideas. They have super casual conversations, it feels like you’re listening to friends.

The two dudes are millionaires themselves - Shaan Puri and Sam Parr.

One of my recent favorite episodes - #212 - Why You Shouldn't Be A Slave to a 40 Hour Work Week

On Better Thinking, Better Living

- The Knowledge Project from Farnam Street is one of our favorite podcast shows of all time.

We are such big fans of this podcast that we named this newsletter after this project.

Yea😅

This is another interview show and their guests are super high performers and clear thinkers.

Our all-time favorite episode is with Naval Ravikant of course -

And now they are on YT as well -

- The Hidden Brain is a great podcast about human psychology, the limits of the brain, and how to overcome them.

Their episode about tunnel vision is super -

You 2.0: Tunnel Vision | The Hidden Brain podcast

On Economics and Behavioural Science

Freakonomics- the book is amazing, but I think Freakonomics Radio- the podcast is even better.

Their tagline - Explore the hidden side of everything!

The podcast is equal parts economics and journalism, and a whole lot of fun.

This is an interesting episode from earlier this year -

464. Will Work-from-Home Work Forever?

Planet Money - This is an NPR podcast, short-form 20-minute episodes about the ongoing economic issues.

This is good quality journalism, not just interview format, which is good.

A fun episode from earlier this year about the Memestock Gamestop and the short squeeze -

Can't Stop GameStop

💭Something to chew on

During which boring chore in your week can you listen to some good podcasts?

How can you make the most of that time?

Think about it🤔
