Hey folksđ
Welcome to Wisdom Letter #117.
Weâre Closing out our little series on entrepreneurship this week.
For the last 3 weeks, weâve talked about the benefits of side projects, the value of entrepreneurship, and the concept of building an audience-driven business.
Today, weâre closing the loop with 1 reading recommendation that ties all these concepts into one.
Yes, just one.
Itâs a phenomenal essay that will blow your mind.
Now, letâs gođ
Ladders of Wealth Creationđž
Wealth is an interesting concept. It means different things to different people.
For some it can be a large amount of money in the bank, for some itâs a high pay package, and for some, itâs being able to buy the fastest cars and largest houses.
To me, wealth is having the time and freedom to do what I want, with who I want at a time and place of my choosing.
This is wealth for me -
Itâs taken me years to internalize this idea and start taking action on it.
But now Iâm actively pursuing it. Pursuing this idea of wealth.
One of the biggest influences on me has been Nathan Barry, the founder of the email marketing company ConvertKit.
His essay titled - âThe Ladders of Wealth Creationâ is a transformational read.
Iâve read it multiple times over the last year. Just to remind me which ladder Iâm climbing and how can I jump to the next one.
I have a print copy of this essay in my desk drawerđ
Hereâs what the ladders look like -
In case youâre wondering Iâm on the second rung in the second ladder.
Of course, I do sell digital products, but thatâs not really a reliable income source as of now.
It will take time.
And I have patience. Tons of it.
Will get there.
Now, this is a long essay, thatâs why itâs the only recommendation of the week. Take some time and read it in full. Take notes if needed.
Print it out if needed.
This is a fantastic essay, I hope you find value in it.
And if you feel a bit overwhelmed, donât worry, just know that everything starts with side projects.
Thatâs why this essay wasnât the first recommendation in this series, itâs the last.
