Hello and welcome to The Wisdom Project, your weekly does of human curated wisdom in the world full of algorithmic noise.
In spite of being a “newsletter” we tend to stay away from the newsy stuff. But its impossible to ignore the top news item this week.
The United States of America voted this week, and the internet started to flood with misinformation and noise as soon as the results started to come in.
This is a curation of some of the signal we could extract from that noise. These are some pieces of content that we are reading, watching listening to make sense of the 2020 American elections.
What we are reading—
An ancient force influencing the election | Latif Nasser | Twitter
One Clear Message From Voters This Election? More Privacy | Wired
What we are watching—
Which voting system is the best? - Alex Gendler | Ted-ED
The Electoral College, explained | VOX
How the US counts votes | Vox
What if a US presidential candidate refuses to concede after an election? | Van Jones | TED
What we are listening—
Does the President Matter as Much as You Think? | Freakonomics
Also we are enjoying Donald Trump’s Twitter handle for some comic relief.
And the incredible job the guys at Twitter are doing in censoring all the misinformation he’s trying to spread.
Thank you for reading.
